Analyst moves: new hires at Gartner

12 February 2007

There is some fresh blood at Gartner as it continues to invest in those areas that clients demand coverage:

  • Anthony Bradley is a Research Director in Gartner Research. Anthony advises clients on application architecture, application integration, and Web technologies. Anthony is an authority on service-oriented architecture (SOA), application systems engineering, and the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies in the enterprise.
  • Christian Hestermann focuses his research on mid-market ERP markets and vendors as well as researching the general ERP market. His strengths are focused on the traditional core ERP functionality and in related manufacturing functionality of MES, APS and PLM.
  • Kamlesh Bhatia is a Principal Research Analyst in the Communication Carrier Operations and Strategies group focussing on Carrier Strategies and Industry Evolution.
  • Neha Gupta is a Senior Research Analyst in the Communications Group covering Mobile Device and Consumer Services
  • Kensuke Kawabe and Koji Motoyoshi are both Principal Research Analysts looking specifically at Applications

It is of course interesting to see those areas in which Gartner feels it is worth investing for the future.

There’s nothing overly surprising in the above, although it is noteworthy that former META SVP Bradley has signed up. He has spent the last couple of years working on some high profile SOA and Web 2.0 projects.

It is not yet clear whether Hestermann is to focus on Europe, or if his remit will be global – he brings with him significant experience of working for ERP vendors.
