The half-life of market research

17 February 2009

In January the DARA hosted a fireside chat where AR specialists and analysts discussed about how the crisis affects analysts and their research. A major outcome of the discussion was that the demand for very recent data is growing, traditional resarch cycles will not be sufficient anymore and the research firms will need to publish and update figures more frequently. So I wasn’t too astonished when PAC today lowered their forecast for the German outsourcing industry. Guess it will be just the start of a series of amendments to latest forecasts. Maybe Twitter IS the new tool for publishing research results and forecasts these days?
