I hope you have all been able to see
EepyBird's latest iteration of the
Coke +
Mentos viral videos.
We have used
this example in a few of our Digital presentations to show the evolution of CGC (consumer generated content) - there are currently
5,502 videos on
YouTube when you I searched Coke + Mentos this morning.
EepyBird announced the second experiment online with a
teaser video of what was to come. On October 20th they released this video:
Just to get a real understanding for the impact these videos had, LeeAnn Prescott of Hitwise details the online analytics of the two brands when this video went "viral".
It would be interesting to know how much Coke and Mentos got involved in any of this...
