Sundance Mobile Films

Today Robert Redford announced a partnership with the GSM Association and the Sundance Film Festival to create short films for viewing on mobile phones.

H&K's NY Marcomms team helped organize and launch this announcement today at the Museum of Television and Radio.

I was in attendance to blog for the event along with 73 other media.
In summary the event announced that Sundance and GSMA had recruited six filmmakers to make five shorts specifically for mobiles. The room was packed with media and Redford provided a history of Sundance and the genesis of this concept.  Bill Gajda from GSM and John Cooper from Sundance provided their concepts as well.
Nice to see that the indie guys are taking advantage of the "third screen".

I was there too and it was awesome to see the interest in what Bill Gajda dubbed a new "cinema in your pocket" when being interviewed by TV.  Bring it on in the mobile space!
