Exploding Things

This video flew around a while back and I am so glad to see that Nike have decided to make something of it with the launch of new Nike golf ball website - Nike Juice 312.

I love how these little cult trends (Coke + Mentos, human beatbox, etc), promoted by the web, are being adopted by big brands.

    Hey James,

This one has some real history. The first japanese video is a total
recreation of the photos of created strobe photography and used it to do a lot of stop motion photos in  the 30's, 40's and 50's. It's hard to tell if they are animating his
photos or recreating them. I think they are recreations for a number of reasons. You can Google Harold Edgerton (http://web.mit.edu/Edgerton/ for
example) and see a lot of the original work.

For Eggerton and his partners the
ultimate use of the invention was to photograph the detonation of atom bombs. Now it is being used to sell sneakers... sweet.
