Extentuating circumstances

Mrs Cook has been chastising me for my lack of post activity over the last couple of weeks. Guilty as charged, m'lud.

In my defence, there have been some mitigating circumstances. First of all, I joined some of my colleagues in New York to share experience and thinking in social media. We were joined by Jeff Jarvis (who still hasn't replied to my comment - so much for PR agencies forming relationships with bloggers, Jeff!), Yahoo!'s Valla Vakili, and Elizabeth Talerman of Campfire Media.

However, there is much to catch up on. I'll start by reproducing an article I wrote for the International Association of Business Communicators' monthly CW Bulletin on media relations in the social media era.

And note that I responded on your blog, rather than mine, because the conversation is distributed and made possible by Technorati.
