Spot-On Promotional Effort, Kwik-E-Marts and The Simpsons Movie

Allegedly, 7-11 and Fox Home Entertainment are about to announce that nearly a dozen 7-11 stores will be re-branded into Kwik-E-Marts, the convenience store of choice for Homer Simpson and the rest of the Simpson clan.  Visitors to the store will be able to buy KrustyO's cereal, Buzz Cola and ice Squishees - favorites of the residents of Springfield.  7-11 is going to be able to use Simpson branding to promote its own products.  7-11 hasn't officially announced anything but they showed off part of the promotion at a company event and the news was leaked to the Richmond Times-Dispatch

I hope this is true because this looks like a match made in heaven.  Fans of The Simpsons are probably fans of slurpees and other great finds at 7-11.  Bringing to life something like the Kwik-E-Mart is going to be HUGE for fans of The Simpsons, which in turn will make the same people even HUGER (if that is a word) fans of 7-11.  Hats off to the people at 7-11 who saw the bigger play here and took the risk to make it happen.  WOOHOO!
