Youth Marketing Done Right: Quiksilver Surfing DVD

I love Quiksilver!  The brand stays true to their audience and keeps the credible and authentic vibe running high in everything they do.  Case in point:  Young Guns 3 (no Emilio Estevez and Kiefer Sutherland aren’t riding the waves) – these young guns are a group of surfers sponsored by Quiksilver who this past year have been living in a house in Sydney. 

The gang takes off to surf some of the best breaks in the region – films all of the footage – and lets consumers vote online for the clips that should be included in the DVD.  Along the way the one and only world champion Kelly Slater comes surfing by for some fun for the DVD, adding some instant starpower for the DVD. 

And, reinforcing the connection of surfing and music, Quiksilver is letting bands upload soundtracks that could be selected to be in the movie!  

The DVD just went on sale at quiksilver and other surf shops across the world – ride the next wave over and check it out.
