Serena Williams & Rafeal Nadal Walk On Water

The global communications team at Sony Ericsson (note, an H&K Australia client) this week introduced the world to "water tennis" with international tennis stars Serena Williams and Rafeal Nadal - and provided another great example of how using amazing photos can lead to some amazing media coverage and buzz.  The photos capture the two tennis stars in various poses that illustrate the fun world of what playing tennis on water could look like.  The gang at Motorola a few years back took a different twist to a similar approach, hiring photographer David LaChapelle to create a story of a jewelry heist for the introduction of the MotoPebl.

Next time you are working on a new campaign for a new product/service, spend some time using these two examples as inspiration to see how you can use the power of visuals to drive some added excitement and buzz for your efforts.  They can be costly but can definitely be worth it.

Ryan, your client probably thinks you walk on water as well.  Nicely done.

This is a great example of a picture being worth a thousand words, Ryan. You are, as ever, a font of simple brilliance. How about sharing a little of that brilliance with me for a good cause? I'm involved in a local initiative campaign in the town where we live. After reading this missive, it occurs to me that what we are missing are a few compelling visuals to tell our story. Any ideas about how to capture the image of a "campaign to remove binding arbitration from the City Charter"? I know what you're thinking: "Wow, that Kevin is always knee-deep in glamour!"
