McDonalds Hits MySpace for "Big Mac Jingle" Contest

I'm late on this one (sometimes in Australia I don't hear everything happening back in the States right away) but worth sharing.  Obviously McDonald's is a major marketing force so I was excited and intrigued when I heard they were hitting MySpace to promote their latest competition - celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Big Mac by inviting people to remix the classic "two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese" jingle.  Check out the MySpace page to see how they did it and hear the winner - who won some cash and a flight to LA to record the new jingle for a new McDonald's commercial.  Always good to watch brands play with social media.  I'm not sure how well it worked for McDonalds or how much traffic the site got, but at least the company is trying something new.
