Foodbites Picks… 5 Cool Things Made Out Of Cake
Wilkommen, bienvenue and welcome once again into Food Bites’ warm, slightly suffocating embrace. Let’s be honest, this week’s been a bit rubbish hasn’t ok? Ok, the snow was fun for about an hour, but then everything in London stopped working, all life became about 20% harder than it normally is and, worst of all, it’s still only THURSDAY (or Friday, if for some reason you’re late to the party). This week also saw Blue Monday, everyone’s favourite scientifically dubious national day of misery. Which means, if you’re reading this, that you’ve somehow managed to survive. So well done you. Food Bites very much approves of resilience in its readers, so as a reward we thought we’d compile this thoroughly entertaining list *cough* shameless link bait *cough* for your enjoyment. We’re nice like that.
Game of Thrones Cake:

Regular readers (at last count there were about three of you) may know Food Bites quite likes Game of Thrones, which means it finds this confectionary piece-de-resistance utterly irresistible. The only sad thing is that it doesn’t come replete with a gingerbread King Joffrey that you can brutally torture as you eat him slowly, limb by limb.
Lego Star Wars Cake:

Way before Food Bites was old enough to watch Game of Thrones, it spent quite a lot of its time watching Star Wars. Like Food Bites, poor Landon probably won’t spend his teenager years being a huge hit with the opposite sex. But that’s fine, because someone’s made him a Lego Star Wars cake for this birthday, and it’s memories like this that will keep him warm in the lonely nights to come.
Snake Cake:
This is a snake made out of cake. It’s a glorious thing, partly because of the craftsmanship involved, but also because ‘snake cake’ is incredibly fun to say. Try it. Anyway, kudos to its creator. But the question is, would you eat it?
Up Cake:

Who doesn’t like Up? Exactly. It’s the world’s greatest short film stretched into an hour-and-a-half of passable family entertainment. Also, it’s sad in an aching, slightly beautiful way. SQUIRREL! So let us celebrate it by admiring this wonderful cake-based tribute.
Nyan Cat Cake:

NYAN CAT! IN CAKE FORM! This really shouldn’t require any explanation. I mean, really, it’s Nyan Cat. Ok, those of you who go outside occasionally may not be familiar with Nyan Cat, which is a shame. Frankly, Its a tragedy. Tell you what, put your headphones in and spend the next the next three minutes and thirty-seven seconds focusing on this. You’ll thank me.
So, that’s Food Bites done for another week. If you made it this far, well done. As a reward, I leave you with this:
