Fight fire with fire

04 November 2005

I did Kevin Allison, the author of the FT article that was the subject of my last post, a great disservice.

The disappointment of seeing the ubiquitous Kryponite lock story yet again meant that I missed this gem (my emphasis):

Kryptonite’s lack of a significant blog of its own meant it had no efficient way to respond to the original blogger’s claim.

Whilst not strictly true (someone from the company could have commented on the original post), I think this is a key reason why every company needs to make an informed decision about whether or not to blog.

Are you happy having no efficient way to respond?
